TO THE ENEMY....
you took advantage of my fears and ignored my flowing tears
took away my dignity
stole my hopes and dreams
took away my pride
left me crying in the dark
i lie awake every night
thoughts of you inside my head
thinking id be better off if you were already dead

how can one sleep with such bitter thoughts inside their head
how does one dream sweet when they dont know what happiness is

you took away all my innocence
made me bleed had your feed
stole away everything i had
left me with nothing to call my own
what do you think of me now
wasted life of mine

hope your getting everything you wanted
i know deep down you havnt forgotten
im sure theres things that you regret
times moving on and your getting older
i wont forgive you no matter what you say
one day youll get what you deserve

everyday we get older and everyday my heart gets colder
from everything youve done to me for how you used to be
i wont forgive one thing you did
you lose but noone won
no matter what you say youll get yours one day

you should have never laid your hand on me

will you ever know what youve really done to me

tonight im burning all the bad memories ive kept this sad face for far too long
today im having the best day ive ever had
watch me turn into the person you held back for all this time
ill show you where your rules put me
disappoint you as i have the best year of my life

Bronee, I am sorry that you are having a tough time. I hope that like the end of your poem you will have the best year.
I am pulling for you.

Wow, I hope your chest feels lighter after getting that off of it. You sure can write too. I hope you manage to heal from this as best you can.
