Is there any correlation between the onset of menstruation/puberty and the age or duration of sexual abuse?

I've always wondered. I was randomly doing some research on menstruation and sexual abuse trying to figure out if my symptoms are hormonal or mental, and I found an article that said there was studies that showed that when a young girl is sexually abused it can cause her period to start early. (They said anything before the age of 12 was considered 'early')

I developed breasts when I was about eight or nine-ish and then my period started when I was ten. I never knew if I was early because I never talked to my friends in school about my period or anything. I was very ashamed of it.

Anyway. Thoughts?

There are studies that show any kind of trauma can cause a girl to start her period early. Many girls in war torn areas start early. I'm started mine at 9 and had severe truama.
