My disabled parents whom I provide assisted living care for (otherwise I would move cross country) let me know I am addicted to self improvement. You know things like, college, reading, developing skills, And hinted that I could pick up a couple jobs to support them.

I accept my relations are toxic as nuclear fall out, I accept that I am bat $&!+ crazy. And this is why I won't reproduce, I'm not sure what went wrong between the nature and nurture. But that crap ends with me.

I feel better now.

I am sorry your disabled parents are jealous that you actually have a life besides waiting on them. It does sound like a toxic situation.

Let me be the voice saying continue with all of these PLEASE to prevent burnout.
college, reading, developing skills

Some people are more active on Psych Central to keep a secret sacred place that they can go as a refuge from their battered life.

Talk to their social worker if possible. See what other inhouse help options are available to them like personal assistance, home cleaning and physical therapy. Any time you can get a break it is important to take one.
