I have been having a very hard time lately. I live in a group home and my house mates have been having major behaviors and they act as if it effects nobody.
One day my one house mate JM attacked my house supervisor and the cops were called and she was sent to the hospital. She came back the same day because she verbally said that she would take her medications which is not happening.
Then I have a house mate CT who does not like nor trust JM and she is always yelling and screaming at JM.
CT last night blew up at a staff. The staff member had a knife and she made a threat that she was going to turn the knife on her. Meaning that she was going to stab the staff. When she said this she yelled into my other housemate JA's ear which almost cause her to have a seizure. She then threw a chair at staff and staff went downstairs and CT followed staff downstairs and then threw a cup of coffee at the staff and broke the cup and got coffee everywhere.
BUT then there is me who is trying to just stay out of harms way. I was told yesterday by my house supervisor that I need to set up my own appointments if I think I have a UTI and so I called the clinic this morning because I have had symptoms for the last week. The reason they say that I have to set up my own appointments for that is because the tests have been negative half of the time they bring me in. So I was told that it was not going to be on them anymore. Well I have a UTI.
I better get to bed I can not type very well nor spell.....

Hi LA-ML, sorry you are living in an abusive environment with many emotional triggers. The behaviors you describe often require extended hospital stays. Too bad the hospital did not keep her longer.

It is often good to have a professional therapist to work with for stabilizing your condition. It can be an influence in our lives that affects our relationships later in life.
You are also a person that has gone through difficult situations and just needs compassionate people like you will find on Psych Central. I, or any of the community liaisons would be glad to private message you as well.

Thanks for sharing your story. Each of us is uniquely prepared by life for a lifetime that only we can live. No matter how bad the history we have gone through, there can be a meaningful life waiting for us to discover.

Thank you for replying. I am not sure how to start a private message. Also Robert Frost and the poem at the bottom of your post is one of my favorites.
Thanks
