Sometimes I think I'd like to see a survey of all those that were abused by Priests. Did it lead to Bipolar in their lives?

I've been abused by my real father and my Pdoc for decades.

My first ip was after 2 suicides and step mom's death at hand of father.
Then father Tryed to come on to me.
I was 19. Didn't sleep for 4 days. Ended up ip for a whole month.

My previous mental illness became much worse since I was raped (age over 50y). It was not a parent or priest but the hallucinations (auditory and visual) have blended with the rape flashbacks. I would say any trauma can trigger off any existing mental health condition.

The Canada Indians and their supporters may have the answer to your question because of the govt removing Indian children for the "schools" (SMART) or the priest abuse support group (SNAP). They would have a record of what percentage of victims developed bipolar (or did not develop bipolar). It is a good question.
