hey, i just wanted to ask a rather serious question that has been on my mental for a while now. i think i was raped last march, but im not sure what counts as rape exactly. so i apologize in advance because this may be quite long... i saw the guy (boy 1)at a party a while ago when i was fifteen years old, he was seventeen. he goes to my school but i had never really talked to him before. immediately after he arrived at the party, he latched onto me. i was really upset due to some boy drama that had occurred at the party with my best friend, now boyfriend. Boy one was just the sweetest thing, he really helped me feel better about my best friend's drama and everything. later into the night, i was still quite depressed so he asked if i wanted a drink. at first, i refused, but he persisted until i eventually gave in. one drink came. and then another, and another, and another. it ended with him eventually grabbing the bottle and closing my nose and making me drink and drink and drink. i didnt want anymore, but he wanted me to have more. so, i was completely wasted. stumbling around and acting like an absolute fool. thats when he pulled me outside and he kissed me. now, i did not like this boy one in the slightest, i only saw him as a friend. but he had been so nice, it was difficult to say no, especially in the state that i was in. so we took it inside. things escalated, we took off our clothes and he did many things to me. no intercourse, nut a lot of other stuff that i didnt want. i didnt say anything though, i was just focusing on the wall, i remember vaguely. when youre in such a state as i was, you feel as though your mind has vacationed to a place far, far away. all i can remember is that i just wanted it to stop. but i didnt know what the hell to do. so i eventually made it out of the room, sick, tired, confused, violated. i didnt know much about what was going on, but i knew one thing for sure. i never wanted to see that boy again. months later, i was talking to my buddies and they told me that hes done that to several girls. i was disgusted. and i had no clue that someone as nice and considerate could turn into someone so aggressive, disgusting, and inconsiderate in just a moment. is he considered a rapist? do you think this counts as rape? thank you so much for reading if you made it this far, you have no idea how much it is appreciated.

I'm sorry this happened to you. You were definitely molested. Whether you were raped or not depends on whether he penetrated you in any way.

Please consider that no one can "make" you drink alcohol (unless they are literally physically threatening you). You are responsible for how much you drink. If you drink too much, your ability to maintain control of your safety will be compromised.

It may not be specifically "rape" if he didn't penetrate anally, vaginally or orally with apart of himself or a foreign object, but it is most certainly violent sexual assault and just as bad, regardless of the specific term/word. Also assault by physically forcing you to drink alcohol- that is super scary! This guy sounds dangerous.

I am so sorry this happened to you. I hope you are getting help dealing with this.
