I hope to get help on this forum and am sorry if the post triggers negative emotional responses - it is a charged issue.

My late mother had bipolar without suicide attempts.

I inherited the bipolar, but have made three attempts. The first one was especially near-lethal (I was kept on on a ventilator at Stanford hospital for several days). The dates of attempts were 2009, 2015, March of this year.

It was only recently that it dawned on me that the mother from whom I inherited the genes did not try suicide.

I did a search for CSA and suicidal behavior on Medline: 20% of suicidal behavior in women is attributable to CSA exposure.

The CSA I was exposed to was not violent, but was supremely confusing and left me without any boundaries. In each of the suicide attempts, hypersexuality was one of the factors.

I am looking for people with similar experiences to compare notes.

Thank you.
