Warning: some triggering things mentioned.

I know that this is an area for survivors of abuse, but I don't know where else to go. For me, it was just a one time thing. I have been looking around, and either I have to wait some time to post somewhere else, or I have to talk to people who are uncomfortable about what I experienced and don't know what to say, and seem like they don't want to hear it. I feel alienated by the people around me.

A few days ago, I was sexually assaulted by someone I went on a date with. I haven't slept much, and just keep thinking about what happened, and I'm always alert, as if it's going to happen again.

I feel like I don't belong anywhere. Can someone tell me where I could go?

You can call a rape crisis center...I have heard good things about RAINN; you can look that up online.
Thanks for this!

I'm sorry that happened to you. I second the suggestion to call RAINN or maybe a local crisis line. Did you report to the police? Are you safe?
Thanks for this!

I wasn't raped though... I have looked into RAINN, but I'll recheck it. Thank you.

I have talked to a sexual violence office at my school. It's just that they aren't always available.

I will be reporting it to the police soon. I just have some other things I need to worry about and deal with before dealing with this.

I am safe. I should not see this person ever again luckily.

I've been feeling alienated as well. Just know that many people aren't sympathetic because they simply don't have the experience you do. All we can do is never make the mistake they do. Give people the benefit of the doubt and try to understand them emotionally. I do not feel for their lack of emotion however, that is selfish. Let's not be that way and help as many people as we can who also feel alone . I'm here and rooting for you. The internet is a beautiful thing. Just know that we know your pain, you are not alone, and we want you to find happiness in life someday.
Thanks for this!
