I'm still haunted by my Mothers intense screaming.
And when I say screaming, I mean so loud her voice would crack!
I was a young teen still a minor, it didn't matter what it was .
One dish in the sink or something that Mom perceived was a slight
she would go into psycho mode.
One or perhaps two other things that were a favorite?
she would threaten me with bodily harm.
Sometimes when the mood struck her she would throw a heavy object.
She would be most dangerous at these times.
& sometimes I would need to just leave the house.
It was that bad.
I have a therapist that the veterans administration found for me out in the community which will be covered by them through their insurance Tri West however the new lady therapist is taking the whole month of Dec off & I don't get to see her until
January 10th 2018.
Oh goody for me ( I'm being sarcastic)
I'm just grateful that I didn't end up like those two twins from Georgia who when their Mother confronted them in a crazy rage it got out of control.
It didn't end well either.
Message to parents don't go psycho on your teens.
I hope I'm posting to the right forum.

I don't think my mother's voice cracked but her throwing things and
Possible trigger:
was scary. I had to leave a lot too and she would yell at me for that as well.

maybe this is not really related, but sometimes hearing my name kind of triggers me. i don't like the sound of it in anyone else's voice other than my own.

No minimizing, I am sorry your mother was not a safe person for you. For normal, optimal development of their personhood teens need someone they can depend on, someone they can trust. You didn't have that. Sorry you have to wait so long to see the new T too. It will come. Hang in there.
