So I have never been sexually abused although I have had a kinda innapropriate thing with this much older man when I was 14. Anyway my last counselor said she would bet nearly her life savings I was and I have always suspected it. So last night I was getting ready to go to sleep with my eyes closed and random thoughts popping in like usual and this picture was coming it was some type of memory ( no I wasnt dreaming) i panicked and said I dont want to rememberthis and it stopped. Anyone else have this happen?

Memories start and I can't turn them off for anything. I have to feel my feelings from it all over again.

I would be very wary of a counsellor telling you you have been sexually abused if you have no memory of it. Memory is so fallible and can be "rewritten" just by the power of suggestion. I would be very wary of trying to recall anything.
