Never tried to talk about this much, so my thoughts and feelings are under-developed. I’ve never met my dads parents, since my grandma died before I was born, and he never knew his dad. What I know of my grandma is that she fled her family at a young age because of abuse. And she abused my dad. Incest. Doctors told her she had a father fixation. She brought violent men around. She died from drinking at 31.

I never met/talked to my grandpa on my moms side, because he was a dangerous person too. He molested many children including my mother, and beat my grandma. He received shock therapy at some point. My grandma was a whisper of a woman who never drove or worked and who barely left the house. She was very clean and organized. She also obsessively collected dolls and jewelry.

So those are my grandparents who I barely knew or didn’t know at all. My blood and their shameful legacy.
