Read the whole story (if you can stand to). This is the quoted statement of the girl's mother's lawyer; she was there too.

Sounds a bit too familiar to me from my own childhood, though obviously I wasn't killed. But I think this kind of thing needs to be in the open and discussed and an attempt made to understand so as to lessen the chances of many repeats.

That's so very sad. Looks like I got off lightly with only 30 years of therapy.

It's unnatural for a child to die in this sort of way...it saddens me.
