|
has anyone talked about programming? it is a confusing thing to me - but timely. i've done some research on the net but it mainly talks about it in reference to ritual abuse.

well, here is one definition - i am looking for others.
"WHAT IS PROGRAMMING? Programming refers both to the process of teaching part of the mind unquestioned obedience and to the content of what is taught. Thus you can say that a person has been programmed to suicide under certain conditions, or you can talk about a suicide program that is triggered (activated) by certain words or conditions. The word programming has a heaviness to it, an aura of machine-like inevitability. It is helpful to remember that programming is something that is done to a human being by another human being, for a specific reason, using certain time-tested techniques, at a certain time and place. thats what a lot of abusers do and esp as a kid you believe what they say - they are your parents/teachers/family etc after all?

yeah, the reason i am looking into this again was because last night some how there was a trigger earlier in the day and then in chat someone said something about pain pills and i remembered that I had come across some and ...
it is like a curtain came down in front of me and all i could think about was the pain pills - and how i should take them all right then. that it was the only right action to do was take the pills. take the pills. all 20+ of them along with my perscriptive ADs and a chaser of alcohol. like a compulsion.

That's funny you brought this up. Just today I was talking to my T about being programmed about something. He said they call it schematic.
