Sometimes I wonder what goes through people's minds as they abuse people.
How they can get such pleasure from beating a helpless child?

Why did Mom feel she had to beat me and degrade me like she did?
Why did that counselor have to rape me, and totally screw up a little boy's life?

I'm sorry you've experienced so much that you've never deserved. Who really knows what goes through their minds, but it's probably something to do with power and dominance.

What is with people?

thats a little hard to try and answer easily Mike... sometimes it is people who never grow themselves... they learn young to abuse others (better than being abused) .. some think there is some difference in the way these individuals minds are structured and it limits thier ability to feel the compassion you and i are capable of..

sometimes i think it is simply the 'dog eat dog' mentaliy that man has dealt with from when time began..

its hard to be a reformer and survivor... the bullies are very ingrained into our society and not at any minimum for the time being.. good people have to stop the chain by standing up if able.. education needs to happen so those who care can help put a stop to this or at least slow it down

sorry you've suffered.. been thru it also.. dont give up faith on good people.. choose friends carefully...

To revenge themselves upon the world (you) for the treatment they got as children.

The problem is always that their aim is off. They wanted to revenge themselves against someone who had done them dirt -- and instead they hit you.
