I wonder why I have blocked my childhood. I don't even remember having a little brother 5 years younger then me. I should remember him, I was 5 when he was born. I don't remember him at all, not before I was 12. I just keep wondering why. It's as if I don't want to go there at all. Maybe it is better that I don't remember.

i don't remember about 95% of childhood...and don't remember my little brother before a certain age, and not much after that. those memories may have been safely put away somewhere until your mind thinks you're ready to deal with them. don't push it, when and if you're ready, they'll come. that is something that has continually bothered me through all of this...even though what i do remember is not good at all, i have a problem with the not remembering. it's like i want to know so i can deal with it, then sometimes when i remember something small, i run as fast and hard as i can in the other direction. confusing stuffs  i wish you well and be safe, kd

I would like to remember mostly because I have avoidance personnality disorder and I have it bad. I know people are not born with this disorder and comes because something happened. At 12 years old I already had that personality disorder so something happened before, when I was younger. This disorder developped itself mostly because of rejection, because we are not taking care off, because we are in the way, a burden.
Maybe if I would remember where my personality disorder all started, I would be able to deal with it more. As it is I always feel I am a burden to everyone and I should shut up and hide everything inside of me. Asking for help is the most difficult thing for me to do. Thank you! Hugs! nightdream |
