Recently my dad has been....taunting me as such, reminding me of what went on, i've been abused since a little girl, so about....8 years ago, but it just keeps coming back and i find it really hard to deal with when it comes up in coversations and they talk about it as if nothing ever went on, and for example in the news if abuse stories are reported then they care about it, as if they were horrified, but they still taunt me with it, they remind me of how they hurt me, like...mental manipulation and i don't really know how to deal with it, it's like a recurring nightmare.
please give me some sussgestions. |

Wow, that is strange. Can you 1) talk to them about it, or 2) avoid them?

to be honest, avoiding them isn't an option and neither is talking to them. they don't listen to me, well how i feel about things - it's like a best friend that talks about you behind your back - they were talking to each other last night and mentioned what happened when i was 12, i couldn't control my head - i can't talk about what happened, because i just can't come to terms with the fact it's happened.

Are you considering therapy?
