Hi 12 Step Team,
I am at a good place and working with newcomers and such. I wrestle with the idea of preparing them for the rocky road of early sobriety, without scaring them away from trying. What are your thoughts? Thanks, moogs ![]()

I personally feel that you have a way with others, that you'd be a good person to reach out to for support during the tough points of early sobriety.

It's important to let them know that it will get better as long as they're sober. That is why the "one day at a time" thing is important.

Listen, listen and listen more. Share your experiences, avoid preaching and offer some suggestions but not advise. Works for me, but I hate sponsoring.

Well, it sounds like a good idea, better to ease someone onto the idea.
