I have like 20 questions to answer and I so don't want to. I think that stay in addition sounds great! Am I the only one or is recovery better than addiction?

An expression I've heard and agree with is, "my worst day sober is infinitely better than my best day using."

Recovery is a process. Every day sober is different than the day before. Not all days are roses but even the worst days are better than when I was a drunk. That's been my experience. Hugs.

Some people feel better right away in recovery, while others it takes time for the light to go on. I think it depends on personality and how bad things had really gotten in your abuse of drugs.

I have heard this a lot too, and used to think this after several failed attempts at recovery. But in addiction, life is absolutely unmanageable, the worst day sober is better than best day in addiction? It's true, even though I had some fun times using drugs. But it quickly changed and during the end, it was not fun at all, it is complete and utter misery.

That statement is true though, because when you're sober and you have a bad day, it is still something that is manageable, and with a clear head you see that the next day, things aren't actually so bad. Good luck!
