Hello

Unfortunately had a slip on Sunday. What a bad way to start the work week. However I went to a mtg Wed night and contributed as well as listened to others. Staying connected to others is vital to my recovery and I plan on getting back on the recovery train. My goal is to keep moving forward.

I was upset about the slip and still am a tad bit. I know I am not my behavior so I'm trying to stay reality based. I've been doing better this week and had a tough dream Tuesday night! It was action packed. Probably a side effect of escitalopram which I take for anxiety. My primary care said that all SSRI's have those side effects. I feel better overall now that I've been taking it so I'm going to work through it.

Happy to be here psych central world

I recognized my ability to "come back" and keep working on my recovery in spite of challenges as a divine miracle.

So many slip and then fall hard and fast - even never getting sober again.

Glad you're back!

Thanks for your feedback moogs! It's the weekend and I'm happy to not be working now. Also, I need to remain vigilant to a certain degree because weekends have been my slippery area in the past. I have therapy on Saturday and I'm positive my ability to get through this weekend slip - free. The members of my program are apart of my higher power and you are too!
