Last night we all got under the covers and got out her "FancyNancy" books.

It was for the first time, ever, since buying them and stashing em away over 8 months ago.

I thought I'd keep my word and told her we could look at just the pictures, which she became inthralled in. I got a kick out of it, too, as one was on the subject of Valentines and was was on Adventures

It was, I believe, the reason I woke so content and happy for the first time in a while! It had been just what we all needed.

Absolutely!!
I must admit that I didn't think I 'had the time' for such things. Well, wwhhoa, was I mistaken; I want to do that again soon!!

Thank you, Anderson, I hope you have a way to enjoy your full-being, as well ~

My big person lets me carry my velcro monkey in his pocket and wear my hat so I feel happy and we play every day and it's fun. He lets me keep our picture book (Lucy says it's called "I am a Bunny") and we read it sometimes and he lets me draw pictures and drink juice boxes and eat crackers and Thomas snacks and even play with dinosaurs and watch Scooby Doo stuff. It makes him feel better too. I'm happy he lets me come out because I had to go to sleep for a long time before and it was just the big people but they said it wasn't safe for me there. They went to a big city.

Especially a break from the teenagers. They can be a handful. I'm glad you're giving yourself a break, too. Seems like most adults could benefit from storybook time if we just open ourselves up to it.
Thanks for this!

LeafLace~ perhaps try some "era-appropriate" music; mine love the 80's rock, and sometimes I get fascinated by the "Oldies" or the "70's stuff"

Bmee2~ FancyNancy are bright, sparkley, and adorable book series that I came across in Barnes and Noble for the little ones. They peaked 'everyones' interest.
I picked up the Velveteen Rabbit while there as well, since it's a classic that I don't recall a thing about from childhood. So, will give that a read sometime as well.
