|
I never felt safe and protected when I was little, no security at all. Now its too hard that I have to worry about adult stuff, but I still feel small and scared. I just want someone to keep me safe forever. I dont want anything to change ever. Just a nice, secure place with my blanket and stuffed snake. And I want someone to read me stories. That sounds stupid and I'm scared to say it because nobody understands.

You're not alone. Most of us who weren't properly cared for in our youth crave that - even in adulthood. It's a void and not one that is easily remedied. I'm working on filling that same void for myself right now. Again,just know you're not alone.

I feel scared a lot. It's hard to feel scared. Are there things around you to let you know you are safe now? Have you tried listening to books on tape? That can be nice. What does your snake look like? I like snakes.
