" libby, bath time." called her mother from upstairs

libby didn't want to have a bath. she hated them, and thought they were boring.

on the way to the bathroom she saw her brother josh playing with his blocks.

she stopped to help him build a giant statue of a cat

" now please libby", called her mother

on the way to the bathroom, libby saw some toys on the floor and decided to pick them up and put them away in her room.

" the water is getting cold," warned her mother.

on the way to the bathroom, libby saw her sister katy. she was singing.

" I can sing that song just as good," she thought, and sang with her sister.

" libby, come on now" said her mother. " it won't be too long."

on the way to the bathroom, libby saw some biscuits on the side and just had to eat them all up.

she also drank some juice, and fed the cat

" count of 10," said her mother. " 1, 2, 3...."

on the way to the bathroom, libby stopped to read a book on dinosaurs.

it was so interesting, and their names were so long

" 4, 5, 6..." her mother said

on the way to the bathroom, libby hid behind the bathroom door and stayed completely silent.

"7, 8, 9, 10!" said her mother.

libby jumped out from behind the door and fritened her mother. her mother screamed, and libby got in the bath.

libby played with her rubber duck in the bath.

she used lots of soap, and lots of bubbles, and made the floor a big wet mess!

after about 10 minits, her mother called to her
"libby, bed time."

but libby was pretending to be a shark and blowing bubbles under the water.

she liked baths, she thought. and this one is going to last for a long, long time

I love the stories you are posting. I was going to suggest you putting them together and publishing a book of short stories, Thanks for letting us know that you are not writing these but instead copying them from books.

I was wondering if you could also include the book titles so that if we like them we can find them on amazon for example and purchase them.

this way too you wont be doing whats called "plagiarizing" plagiarizing is when you post or publish something that isnt your own in papers or printed forms like on the internet. we dont know every single person on the internet and who's to say the authors doing a google search on their books for what ever reasons and then discover someone on psych central posting their books with out permission nor giving credit due... yea wouldnt like that to happen to you, please consider including book titles and authors too please.

I think it's a good idea, thanks amanda

I'm impressed

I like the stories you're posting, raging

I started writing a load of stories a few years ago but never finished them and I don't know what happened to the notebooks they was in

I remember there was a haunted house one and a couple of others but I don't remember the details now and none of them was ever finished

I wrote something especially for this thread. I hope you like it

why the sea is salty
once apon a time, their lived a little girl called jessica.

today she was at the beach with her mother, her father, and her brother james

well james was playing in the sand, mother and father were relaxing, and jessica was walking up and down the beach.

suddenly, she tripped over something and fell. she reached her hand behind her to see what had fallen, and discovered it was a magic lamp.

but this wasn't any magic lamp. written on the side was the instructions to just wish for what you wanted, and it would come true.

so jessica wished for some fries (as she hadn't eaten in a while), and before she knew it, she had a plate of fries next to her.

she wanted some salt on her fries, so she said to the lamp, " I wish I had salt on my fries".

a tiny pinch of salt fell from the lamp on to the fries

" that's not enough,"jessica said, " I need more."

so she started wishing to the lamp, more, more, more. but each time the lamp only produced a little salt

frustrated, she shouted at the lamp, " salt, lots of it!"

and with that, the salt from the lamp came out strong. it fell on the sand, it fell on the fries it fell on jessica.

" okay that's enough!" she shouted, as she realised that the fries she was holding were litirally being covered with salt. " stop, stop, stop"

but the lamp didn't stop. salt continued to pour out the lamp.

jessica stood up and grabbed the lampp and started up the beach.

" I'll break this lamp," she thought, " then the salt will stop"

as she moved up the beach, salt continued to fall from the lamp. it fell on empty chairs, it fell on people relaxing, it fell on little children's heads

" sorry," jessica kept saying. " sorry for the salt"

when she got to the edge of the sea, she lifted her arm over her head and tossed the lammp far in to the water.

she heard it splash, but as she tgurned to walk away, she noticed that the salt from the lamp was covering the water

the sea, previously calm and blue, was turning in to a salt mine.

when jessica got back to her family she explained what had happened

" nonsense" said mum.

" a magic lamp?" said dad

" what planet are you even on," said james

but if you're ever down at the beach and you happen to swim in the sea, or taste the salt, we know where it comes from, don't we?

and legend has it that somewhere, right at the bottom of the sea, lies the magic lamp that is still spilling the salt to this day.

i've been meaning to post this story for a while (honestly, too lazy to type it up)

but here you go

hugless douglas by david melling

once apon a time their was a bear. he lived in a deep, dark cave.

well this particular morning he needed a hug so he brushed his hair, got dressed, and went to find one

" my best hugs are big." said douglas, so he walked up to the biggist thing he could find and gave it a squeeze

it didn't feel right

" oh," said douglas.

" my best hugs are tall" thought douglas so he went up to the tallest thing he could find and hugged it

but again, it didn't feel right

" my best hugs," said douglas, " are comfy"

so he went to a tree and hugged it

but the branches started to move and their came a " baaa, baaa" sound.

" give us a hug," said douglas

" no,"said the sheep. " we're too busy!".

" why can't I find a hug?" said douglas

" if I want a hug," said an owl, " I sit in my tree and.."

he never got to finish. douglas climbed in to the trree and waited

" twoo twit" said the owl crossly

douglas felt around and soon he felt something fluffy and rabbity

douglas could tell the rabbit didn't want a hug

he sniffed, and without thinking, he wiped his nose on the rabbit

" put me down," she said.

" but I want a hug" douglas said.

" ah, I see." said the rabbot. " come with me."

she took douglas to the entrance of a cave. douglas looked in to the cave, and saw someone he knew, just waking up

" hug?" douglas asked, as he ran straight in to the arms of...

his mother

" come to think of it," said douglas, " my best hugs are from people I love."
