Tuck in....

Your in a safe place here!! You have found a place where you will be accepted for who you are. You can share your experiences and learn about others. This is a place where you can be comfortable...especially in the Garden if you need a breather and just need a safe place to be vulnerable.

The main dissociative forum is for everyone who has dissociation issues, from DID, DDNOS, Depersonalization Disorder, Derealization, along with PTSD, Depression, and even Borderline Personality Disorder...these last three things also come with forms of dissociation, so you can post in the main DD forum too if you like.

Talk with you later!!

Thank you everyone for the responses... I finally got some good sleep, about 12 hours, and that doesn't happen often. Sleep can be a good thing, but it can also be a scary place.
I got out of a hospital March 13, in Miami and within 3 weeks became homeless in a city where I didn't know anyone well enough to turn to for help. Thanks to one friend I made while I was there who did help me. She told me about this site. Hugs to her~!!
This experience of becoming homeless wasn't the first time in recent years, yet I hope it is the last.
I came to Colorado where I am now living with my brother in law who is a great guy, but I have never lived in such a small town. Not one single stop light, and the town itself is a little backwards. The "country store" actually says it's "The Jackass Cafe" outside, but is a store when you walk in. There are donkeys who roam the streets at their pleasure, this I guess is a tourist attraction, and from what I hear, don't feed em, cause they'll try to come into the house. I wonder if I truly woke up on planet earth when I wake up. I went from sea level to 9000 feet elevation in 7 days... a friend asked me if the donkeys are allowed to roam free at night, I told her yes and as far as I know the drunk ones are too~!!
I TRY to keep my sense of humor, and perhaps I am beginning to find it.
Anyway...
thanks again for the warm words of support and encouragement~!!

DONKEYS!!!!

I grew up in Southern California...in the mix of L.A. and Orange County! You can't walk in place without tripping over somebody there.

Then one day...life just changed, almost overnight...I ended up in a small Oregon town. Their tallest building in "Downtown" was only 5 stories tall....still might be a bit bigger than your Colorado town though. I understand the feeling of waking up on another planet though. I went from Hoity-Toity Californians to Oregon Hippies...and dirty ones at that!! (Not making fun of anyone...just statin' the truth!! LOL)

Truthfully though...I would love to come visit your town and get my picture by the "Jackass" Cafe sign. My old friend and I used to stop and take our pictures by funny signs. We have some good memories from that!!

Keep posting here...we'll be here for you!!

Oh, and a couple things I heard about those Colorado donkeys....DON'T get them wet, and DON'T feed them after mid-night!!

Free roaming donkeys?? Oh my....I thought our little town was strange. All we have is a guy running for a seat in town government who covers his walls in tin foil and screams out "Can ya count?" to random people....
I think I'd rather the donkeys.
Welcome! I'm so glad you're here!
