Hi!

I'm new here and desperately seeking advice for anything that might help. I'm almost 30 and have had severe anxiety and depression since early childhood. I also have Asperger's, diagnosed about 10 years ago.

I began taking psychiatric medications and started therapy before the age of 10. Since then, I have been on almost every medication and combination of medications and have always been "compliant" with my medications. I have seen more therapists than I can remember.

I attend therapy at least once a week and see my psychiatrist at least every 2 months. I feel like my current therapist and psychiatrist are good fits and do not want to see anyone else. I have tried CBT and DBT and have not found this helpful. I cannot cope with the constant depression and anxiety, and my treatment team is out of ideas/options, too. Please advise. Thank you.

Have you started to post in the depression-anxiety forum or the Asperger's forum yet? If not, then you might want to go there to post. The people in those forums can relate to how you are feeling and support and advise you. Good Luck to you!
Thanks for this!

Hi Flee23,

The thing that really worked for me is described in the thread below. Check post #45 for anything you haven't tried too.

There is a "depression success stories" section of this site where you might get ideas.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
