I am wondering if other females have sleep desturbances really bad the night before they get their period. Like I don't sleep, and it's my alarm clock that the period is tomorrow. Is this just me, or do others have the same? Lorna

I don't usually, though I do wake up a bit more frequently through the night about a week before. I think it's probably normal, but I could be wrong

My period knocks my whole life off. I can't sleep and when I can't sleep, I'm grouchy. It is like your period is telling you, I am on the way. It gets worse when you start going through menopause. Yikes!!!

I hear you! I am in perimenopause and it is like PMS everyday!!

Yes(to the threadstarter) insomnia can occur before your period.......I have heard valarian is good and magnesium supplements are a must. It can help relax you and good for central nervous system.......

Take care sweets......really look after you at this time.
