Ah yes, another birth control thread! Sorry ladies, I know these are a drag and rather common, but I had a quick question. I was on birth control for roughly 5 years, but then went off it for about 6 months. I'm back on it, and this is my first month. Nothing like the first time I was on it! When I first started it I had pseudo morning sickness every day for a few weeks -- nothing like that this time. My moods evened right out and pretty much completely got rid of my PMS symptoms. My only thing is my period is late. I just wanted to double check and make sure this is normal during the first month and at what point I should start to be concerned.

Knowing my luck, the minute I post this I'll get it!

Thanks all, I really appreciate the help

As you age, things change. My cycles changed as I got older (34 now) and after having my girls. Medications can also affect it. After I started Adderall in August, my first cycle after that was a week late and really heavy. My second one was on time from the late one, and again, heavy. There are so many factors...did you change the type of pill? Are you on different medication? Is your stress level high right now?

All else fails, call your doc. I HATE doing that, but I make myself do it...

Thanks, theotterone!

I finally got it, just took a few days. I have been wicked stressed lately (overloading on credits) so that probably wasn't helping, though stress has never been a problem before (and I've been pretty stressed in the past...). My medication is the exact same I was taking before. I guess my body was just trying to get used to being on the pill again...?

Again, thanks for your response. I read the inserts with the pills, but I wanted to hear from another human being that what was happening was normal. I really appreciate your response.
