I'm going to retract my statement earlier about underwires. I went and actually got fitted, and I had my doubts about underwires, but I can actually say that since I've been wearing them, my back hasn't hurt as much. I was also wearing the wrong size.... Apparently I'm a 46 DDD/44 F, but they usually don't carry F's in the store. >.<

I started off at a 32AA & now at the age of 57 am still a 32A or a 34A when I can't find any 32's. I never wanted to be noticed or have guys look at me in that way......my brain, not my body was the important thing. I must say, in the heat of the summer, its so nice not to have to wear a bra. The sports bra's are the most comfortable, but aren't made to wear with many of the summer cloths. I tend to wear the cami's with the built in "shelf" what a funny term. It solves a lot of problems. When I go out, I can just through short sleeve or sleeveless top on over it. Mostly, I just like not having to worry about wearing a bra & not having to worry about how it looks. The cami's are good for when I really get hot & sweaty & when my cloths end up drenched. The humidity is so bad here, it's easy to look like you've been through a wet t-shirt contest the minute you walk out of the door. Coming from the California dry heat.
I must admit also that being very athletic, it's wonderful being small. I played racquettball every day with the guys I worked with & I must say, bouncing around on horse back is much more comfortable being small. __________________ Leo's favorite place was in the passenger seat of my truck. I'm a 38D, and god I wish they were smaller in a way, but then again I love them. They attract the wrong kind of attention though, and Trying to sleep with these things..not so much fun.. haha!! XD

Hi Ladies,
I am feeding my baby at the moment and have a cup C at the moment...I do hope to get my form back to Cup A. It is a matter of time I guess. What about overweight after the delivery? Have you got your fitness "form" back? |

I lost some weight and found some sports bras that were okay for my still too-big size and love them. They make me look "smushed" together and like I have a shelf instead of two boobies but I don't care; when they're as large, old and saggy as mine, nothing is going to make them look "better' really; it's like caring about which way the stripes go when you're way overweight anyway, LOL

Where is a good place to go fitted to get a bra? Do they sales help actually get trained in this? When I go to stores, the sales help in general seems unknowlegeable, so I would love to get a recommendation for a store where the clerks know their stuff.
I hate underwires. They always break and then gouge me. So uncomfortable. I was 36A before kids and weight gain. Now I am 38-40 C-D. I would love to have smaller breasts. It makes exercising so much easier. Need to lose weight. __________________ "Therapists are experts at developing therapeutic relationships." |

Unfortunately, Victoria's Secret doesn't carry cup sizes larger than DD. That was a problem for me too, around pregnancy & nursing. You may want to try another lingerie store. There are some out there which carry goods for larger ladies. Or, try ordering online...now that you know your size & more comfortable styles. __________________ "Only in the darkness can you see the stars." - Martin Luther King Jr. "Forgive others not because they deserve forgiveness but because you deserve peace." - Author Unkown |

Go to Victoria's Secret. The employees are all very knowledgeable in sizing and comfort levels of different bra styles.
(No, I don't work for Victoria's Secret in any way. LOL! ) I just have a lot of experience In my experience, it sounds like you've been sized inaccurately, and are wearing too small of a bra. You may be a 42C. Needing a wider width. __________________ "Only in the darkness can you see the stars." - Martin Luther King Jr. "Forgive others not because they deserve forgiveness but because you deserve peace." - Author Unkown |

I'm at the point, where if I go up another size I won't be able to shop at LaSenza anymore. Somebody in charge has decided to start phasing out anything past a DD!! 38DD, sometimes 40DD here. And it sucks. If it gets worse in terms of my back pain (since I do have a physical disability to boot) then I'll be looking into surgery. I pretty much give up on finding well fitting dress shirts that button up the front, they're either too tight on the bust, or too large elsewhere to accommodate the upper half. __________________ |

Haha...I was on Kohl's a couple weeks ago and looked over in the junior's section to where they have all those "Candie's" clothes. I tried on a cute shirt with a belt, size XL, then took a picture of it with my phone. I'd just gotten a new bra the day before, so was excited to see what things would look like on me now. I wish I could upload the picture here! My boobs were so packed into that shirt I thought the button was going to pop off Why they make things so small for junior's is beyond me. It'd be great to be able to fit into those teeny-weeny clothes! Oh well. At least I'll have more "insulation" on my body for when I go to Alaska someday.

I'm like, a 38A. Which is impossible to buy at any department store and I refuse to go into any specialty store because I have very little money and much more important things to spend it on. I could probably go bra-less and it wouldn't make a difference anyway.
If I had like, 10 grand lying around I'd def get a boob job. I don't want big knockers or anything. I just want enough to look like a member of the female sex. I can't even wear a lot of woman's shirts because they're all designed for women with boobs. And companies seem to assume that girls with wide chests have huge tits and girls with tiny tits have tiny chests. It's complete bs. Sorry for ranting. I hate my breasts lol. __________________ Disorder | Rating Paranoid: High Schizoid: Moderate Schizotypal: Moderate Antisocial: Moderate Borderline: Very High Histrionic: Low Narcissistic: Moderate Avoidant: Very High Dependent: Very High Obsessive-Compulsive: Low URL of the test: http://www.4degreez.com/misc/persona...sorder_test.mv URL for more info: http://www.4degreez.com/disorder/index.html |

I'm a 42 C !
Finding a comfortable bra is a myth. Sport bras work best for me if I can find a cotton one otherwise I set the girls free .... ahhh! Yep ... gold thread must be in them ... the price just doesnt seem to compute ... after all ... its hard to find a good over the shoulder boulder holder that doesnt cost a fortune. |

I like Just My Size cotton bras (my doctor told me to stick to cotton bras, because I am prone to yeast infections under my breasts--yuck!), but I can't find them with the inches I need. I'll probably have to start shopping online. Or, here's a smarter solution--LOSE WEIGHT! :P

38F here. And yes, an accurately fitted bra is essential. But the constant back strain sux. I went from A cup to a DD in one summer....not fun. I have been over weight and under weight...mine stay huge. I have had 3 pregnancies and nursed all three children ( ok, they were HUGE then) then got softer, but not smaller.
I like to ride horses and I was very active before the panic attacks started. I would wear 2 sport bras for horse back riding and I would get one size too small and 2 sizes too small...to keep them from bouncing....so much. My husband is not a boob man, lol. Breast men only talk to my chest. Never look me in the eyes. My husband is a butt man, I cannot see him staring back there, lol. __________________ ....the axe soon forgets, but the tree remembers forever... (Chinese fortune cookie) |

I'm 20 and I'm a 34D. I did the whole puberty thing pretty fast and early on, and my breasts had almost finished growing by the time I was 14 (much the the delight of the boys in my classes..!). I buy all my bras from the Avon catalogue, which I started doing so I could try on at home but they are the comfiest bras I have ever found!! They also come in plenty of pretty patterns, whereas the 'trendiest' (as my mum would say ) ones are only available in small sizes, yeah. I can only wear one particular shape otherwise it bugs me - the kind of half-cup ones that come 2/3rd of the way up. Wiring is essential! I also like a bit of padding, because it's much comfier to have a form cup.

34G/H here! Finding a bra is nearly impossible. I have to order them online at $80 a pop! But what choice do I have. When they are that big they are a danger if not kept in one place. The back strain is horrible. Finding shirts is nearly impossible. I went shopping with a freind, who is an A. She had never been shopping with me before. She kept trying to get me to try on all these cute little tops. I finally did. She almost died laughing, she thought it was hillarious; until she accidently got me STUCK in one!
I wish I could donate some of mine. |
