So 2 weeks ago I started spotting, went to the clinic and found out I had another polyp in my uterus which has since come out. I have been bleeding for now over 2 weeks straight. As soon as the previous bleeding started to subside I started my period. I could seriously just lay in bed and sleep all day. I have taken like 2 hour long naps on the couch everyday while still getting 7-8 hours of sleep a night. Ugh! Is there any other way to feel not so crappy while this is happening without just chugging caffeine?

Do you think you could be anemic? Make sure you're eating well too. If you're getting blood testing for anemia, also ask them to check your Vit. D levels -most people are way below the standard level and experts recommend at least 1,000 mg now. You might as well get your thyroid also checked. I hope you feel better soon (((salukigirl)))

Liver and spinach are very good for replacing iron. If you continue to bleed, anemia is a definite possibility. If you don't like liver (yuck) or spinach, you could try some iron supplements. Use them with caution though as they might upset your stomache.

Maybe your body needs 2 hour naps right now. Take them if you need them.

I am so sorry you having to go through this as I know how draining a so called normal period can leave us females... may bed rest help you through to other side of recovery... healing thoughts being sent your way.

Thanks for this!

I got a blood test while I was at the clinic and the doc said everything looked normal. I think it's just wearing on me. I finally stopped bleeding after over 2 weeks and feel a little better but I think I'm still recovering. Ugh!
Thanks for this!

Bleeding for over 2 weeks, has to be very draining. I hope that you can feel less tired and back to normal soon.

Did the doctor say why you were bleeding for 2 weeks? There must be a reason. You too young to be bleeding like that. Some women who have benign uterine tumors will bleed more than usual.
