I'm 26, 5'9 125 pounds, proportionate and healthy but I can't shop in the women's department. Anything I find that I like doesn't fit AT ALL. Usually try for a 2-4 and it's always too short, too baggy, to big in the waist or makes me look like im wearing a potato sack around my mid section and butt. I'm reduced to shopping in the juniors section and it makes me very emberresed to have to buy clothes with 15 year olds looking for the same size. I have a child as well and thought after having him I'd fill out more and be voluptuous enough to shop in the women's..nope still look like olive oil. Really getting annoying...

Hun...I would love to be able to shop in the youth section of fashions. I am often ehard saying to friends and sales agents that I love some of the clothing for youth and wish they made them for women. Then again...I guess we all want something we can't have. I understand your frustrations when things don't fit quite right, whether it is due to being tall but slim, short and curvaceous, or odd shapes anywhere outside the "perfect" body shape. It can be difficult for many butt some people will require alterations when they shop.
Thanks for this!

Have you tried different stores? I had a lot of years when I had to shop at different stores because some stores style's fit me where others (same size) were built slightly differently and did not. If you aren't curvy (don't know if you are or not) you might want to try the men's sections. What exactly about the clothes are not fitting? Are they too short, too big (waist), or what. Others might be able to suggest specific brands that have worked for them if you provide that. Good luck.
Thanks for this!

I'm five feet, 95 lbs, so I completely understand. I can share clothes with my 10 year old daughter. Nothing fits, too long, too big, I look like a kid trying to dress up in my mummy's clothes. It's hard but if I try hard I can find somethings. A very few stores around here carry a size 00 but the arm lengths, abdomin length and leg length are usually still long.

I don't want embroidered butterflies and hearts on all my clothes.

Now shoes ugh whole other story.
Thanks for this!

Im tall and tone. I actually prefer men's clothing baggy hoodies & pants because 1. They are cheaper and 2. anything I find that actually fits draws unwanted attention including glares from other women. Im not trying to complain but I'd like to be seen as beautiful woman not like a girl (I've had many grown women say they want to see my ID or make comments about what a great baby sitter I am to my CHILD) I have a weird thing about the bottoms of my pants have to touch my shoes when I sit down & most jeans these
days ALL have spandex in them causing them to shrink on low drying or even after a wash. I have to buy tops in juniors because otherwise they fit like a bad 80's crop top. I have found some luck at Charlotte Russe (which is cheaply made crap really) & Macy's juniors but am still frustrated that I find great stuff I like in women's and it just looks all
wrong on me. BAH!

It takes all kinds of folks to make the world go round. At 5'6" and 105 poundsd I wore juniors into my early 40's. Then I gained weight for a variety of reasons. I miss being able to wear juniors. I feel like misses' make me look like a dumpy old broad.

I can empahtize with you about having trouble finding anything to fit though. Anything that fit my height baged on the rest of me.

Have you thought about having your clothes altered? I know how you feel though. I hate shopping. I am small and skinny and wear a children's large..imagine the style choices..egads

I know how you feel JustMe, I'm 24 and have a similar body type. I don't know if they have it where you live, but I like to shop at H&M also Forever 21 sometimes has some more sophisticated options if you search a bit.

I'm 27 and I shop in the juniors section as well. Even there, I have trouble finding things that fit right. Most women have something about their body that makes shopping for clothes difficult. For me, the biggest problem is that my shoulders are very narrow so I can NEVER find jackets that fit me. It looks like I'm a little girl wearing my daddy's jacket-- and that's in the juniors section. I'm a professor and I can't even find a blazer that fits right. I've tried having them altered, but they always turn out wrong. I've had to virtually give up on blazers and try to find cardigans and sweaters and other things that will make me look "professional" at work. It certainly sucks, but it's something most women struggle with (whether it's their shoulders, waist, hips, butt, etc).

Could you just buy your pants in the junior's section and then buy adult and nice tops from the women's section? Also for dresses, it sounds like maybe you need a petite size instead of regular.

Also for scorpiosis try shopping designer online, especially on the Asian (Japanese!) market. A lot of Asian women have very narrow shoulders, it sounds like you need a similar cut of clothing.
