I'm getting really worried and concerned

Last month I had two peroids, but they fell in step with my birthcontrol for the most part (I had one at the very beginning of the month and one at the very end of the month, I am almost 100% sure they fell in sync with my birth control and the placebo pills)

This month I'm on my 9th day straight of bleeding, I'm really upset and really scared, I've always had problems with my periods but after getting on birth control it really straightened things out for the most part besides when I would get extremely stressed out.

I'm going to start calling gynecologists Monday and trying to get in as soon as possible. I've had no life style changes besides adopting a dog and my spring semester started this month.

Has anyone had this happen before? I"m sick with worry and all I can do is sit and cry and wait for my boyfriend to be home.

Congrats on adopting a dog! Sometimes stress (positive or negative) can temporarily influence these things.

Is it light bleeding? I've had light bleeding for up to 12 days both on and off birth control (when I had my uterus). If it's light (especially a more brown color), it shouldn't be anything serious. If it gets too heavy or is really painful, I would go to the ER. At any rate, you are doing the right thing by calling the gyno.

In the meantime, I would recommend eating foods with iron since you are bleeding more than usual.

Thank you so much xp! It is very light, and I am not having any pain other than my lower back aches, but that could have nothing to do with my period it all it could just be from the heavy lifting I do at work. I think it has finally stopped this morning, I am going to call around to gyno's tomorrow afternoon, I am just waiting on my parents to send me a list of providers since I am still on there insurance. I do worry it's something more, mostly because I have had so many issues with my cycle since I first started having my cycle. I figured by 21 going on 22 it would have found a regular rhythm by now. I've never been to a gynocologist before, at least not one that isn't provided by my university. I got checked when I was 18, and then I didn't go again until I was 21, because I lost my virginity.
Thanks for this!

Maybe you need a higher dosage of estrogen. I was on low dose b/c after my son so I could still breastfeed only I bled for a YEAR after having him. Anything with high levels of estrogen gives me a raging headache. After much poking and prodding And being cleared for no tears, rips, left over placenta they changed my birth control. It took a few different kinds to find the right one (I would stop bleeding, have sex then continue to bleed) but finding the right combo without side effects was key. Nothing like bleeding when your not supposed to!
