I'm crying at the drop of a hat and my emotions are all over the place because of hormonal shifts. Suggestions?

Entering menopause can be tough. Yes, not uncommon for emotions to be erratic, but I'm wondering if you might want to check with your doctor if it has been going on for awhile. HRT isn't for everyone, but sometimes taking an anti-depressant or anti-anxiety med can help with some of the symptoms.

You will survive this, and I've found it has gotten better now that I'm a couple years past menopause.

men/o - "menos" greek root word for month
pause - "pausis" greek root word for cessation, not in how we use it now on a remote control to stop and start things

I know and I also smoke cigarettes. I will talk to my doctor about the risks and weigh the pro's and con's.

Oh man I'm 26 & feel for you...why you ask? My mom had me at 38, so when I hit puberty she hit menopause talk about the house of horrors. She's 64 now and still gets occasional hot flashes (I hear that's normal) it was the house of I love you I hate you's for a while between the two of us, I get why my 20 year old brother moved out. I would suggest herbal cramplex, daily multi vitamins, WALKS, water & if you don't already have one a pet, all these things helped my mom, and trust me it was rough!!!

Thanks, for the suggestions. Maybe, the natural supplements are the way to go for me. I'm 51 and my mom is 83 and refuses to take anything for her anxiety disorder. I'm their full time caregiver so things get a little stressful between mom and me at times.
