It' s somewhat unfair that because of the way I look, I am treated differently than most other girls.

I know it's against the bible for me to covet someone else's looks, but you know what? It makes sense to want to be short and curvacious especially when you're 5ft 10in with a bust of 32in. , waist of 24in , and hips of 32in.

It really sucks, because I get some girls saying I should be a model, and a couple of them saying, "You look anorexic."

The boys, don't even get me started!
I'm either too thin, or too tall for them.

Not to mention when I research online on what men like, they absolutely detest women who are size 0 thin. I found out that I was a size 0, so I must be detested. That's something that is against my religion. You shouldn't dislike people just for their looks!

It's a horrible feeling that someone will only judge on the outside instead of the inside of you. It just hurts you all over.

Honey, be PROUD of your height! I am not short I'm average sized (5'6"), and I WISH I were taller. (I have 4 brothers, all of which are at least 6 ft tall). I am the shrimp in my family, lol.

Here's the problem with what you're saying: your view of yourself is coming from OTHERS, not from within YOURSELF. High school is such a TINY blimp in life. 4 years. That's it. I know how self conscious I was in high school, and how I relieved I was when it ended. But WHO CARES about what other people say? Your height is not something that can be changed. Look for the guy that loves your height and your personality. There will always be jerks in the world that will only judge you based on your looks. They're called idiots.

Hope you feel better.

Hi KrasnoiZvezdy - i too am a tall, thin woman so i can relate to how you feel, girls were jealous and spiteful in high school while i was too tall for most of the boys! I would instead just focus on your work and getting through school as best you can - theres plenty of time to have good, meaningful relationships so don't pressure yourself. All the best.

Well, unfortunately, in high school people judge you for your looks. I am short and was very curvy during high school--I had one of the best figures around (I'm bragging, I know). I got beat up alot during high school, I was accused of stuffing my bra and walking a certain way on purpose just to show off! I had alot of boyfriends, but none of them really loved me--they just wanted to be seen with me--its a hell of an existence.

That shouldn't ever happen. That's just a horrible thing to hear.
I'm glad you're ok now.

Hello there!

Highschool was definitely NOT one of my most fun experiences. But people's preferences change, and you may find as you get older that guys preferences change once they're not in high school anymore.

I'd say it's hard to find a guy anywhere, but that's just my own experience in university & college!

Girls mature physically and emotionally earlier than boys. So a sixteen year old girl can be wanting to have a mature discussion while the boy is more focused on spit balls.

I never had a BF in high school. I only had one in college.

We always want what we don't have. I'd love to have your body.

High school is short in the big picture but that doesn't help you right now.

Most of the people I know who we're 'all that' in high school peaked in high school.

It does get better.

You will find someone! Guys are certainly behind girls as far as maturity goes in high school, even in the first few years of college, in my opinion. It seems like people in high school are more interested in what is currently desirable or cool, but when you graduate, most people (keyword: most) are more interested in what they want in a person.

You will find someone who appreciates your figure and personality. High school is only a blip on your timeline, and, chances are, you won't find the person for you until after you graduate. Don't lose hope, and be patient; love will come in good time!

I'm really tall and thin too - 5'11 and size 00. Guys your age are pretty immature imo, trust me, I was there too. You'll find somebody when the time is right.

urgh i know how you feel! Ppl have picked on me for being TOO thin, and that was before my probs even started. Even one of my guy friends was caught calling me anorexic because of my appearance a few weeks ago.

idk why ppl judge so much! grrr. I hope things get better for you and dont ever change yourself to please someone else.

I feel you, girl. I am the same way in my high school; only I am overweight. I have never had a guy. Maybe we'll find our match someday, love.

Hey girl, i understand in a sense how you feel... im not tall like you, im 5ft 2 but i am skinny too and cant gain weight, i am now 24 years old and i look like im 12, i hate it so much...
your in your prime time, high school shouldnt be about finding a boyfriend...you need to go out and have fun with your friends. Find yourself. Trust me something i wish i did more of. I had a 2 year relationship my jr and senior year of high school and i lost most of my friends and after highschool they all moved away and went on to better things while i found out my ex cheated on me. Guys arent everything at all, no offense to guys out there.
You will find the right guy soon enough when you are ready Dont go searching for a guy that will only bring you heartbreak and make u more confused
a guy will find you when you least expect it.
I am in a 5 year relationship gave the guy my all, lost who i was and now i dont know how to get out of it. i just want to be single. I want to make friends again and find who i am.
You have the chance to become someone you always wanted, focus on school and a career afterwords because life is short and i wish someone told me that, but i was just like you i just wanted someone to love me and be with me because i didnt want to be alone, but you need to be happy with yourself before anyone can make you happy and before you can make them happy.
i dont know if this helps you at all...BUT you need to live your life go out have fun make friends and soon enough you will find the perfect one. Dont listen to what people say to you bout ur weight thats not their problem they are either jealous of you or they have bad self-esteem themselves. you are beautiful no matter what! you are unique in your own special way!!!
TRUST ME!!!

I am size 00 and you know.. it's dumb sizing, maybe they should have started at 1 and made it a little smaller. I have been anorexic , and at 00 I am actually in the not in the underweight category.. given I am pretty small and only 5 feet. And even if you are not anorexic it says something about the people who make jokes of such a thing, not to waste your time on people like that.

People always want what they are not.. i have wasted lots of time wishing to be tall. Well I like being short now, it's me.. it's fine. I have straight hair.. I want curly.. it's just the way it goes. Don't worry about what others think, just worry about what you think of yourself.

Honey don't get me started.... I'm in high school too... I'm 4'10", wear a side DD-DDD bra, size 9 in jeans, and am skinny around my waist....but everyone thinks I'm fat because my breasts are big..... also I'm the smartest person in the school, so I'm too smart for my own good really.....I'm really antisocial and have schizoaffective disorder..... but I do have a boyfriend who is a junior this year who loves me even though I'm no where near perfect.... you'll find someone soon enough, pinky promise

its high school sweety. tons of guys like skinny girls, you just have to wait until you can meet real guys who dont want barbie dolls. just don't let it get to you. just try to be happy with yourself (or at least act it, confidence can be attractive) you're young, focus on you, your future, make friends, etc. learn to be happy single so you can be even happier in a relationship
Thanks for this!

Dear Anonymous33150
High School is to be endured in my opinion. Teenagers are trying out adult life and making mistakes along the way. The emphasis on looks is dominant during the teen years. I feel for you. I bet every teen has a list of things they don't like about their looks. I remember being so critical of myself at that age. Once you leave high school and get out in the real world you'll be among adults who have a variety of tastes.

Single sex school so not really applicable... when I went to college at 17 I did not find this “difficult”

But yeah I think at some point between 15 and 20 many (?) young people evolve enough to have the ability to develop a variety of tastes...
