i was wondering what is the best shaver for pubic hair for us women? my pubes are thick and coarse makes it very hard to shave it cant stand a hairy cha cha lol! its getting hot in the state i live in so shaving it will make it less smelly and sweaty.
i am looking for a new shaver that pivots for the harder to shave areas of the vagina. i use schick shaver with the soap on the cartridge it doesnt pivot but i need to change it i cant take the soap, it breaks my underarms really bad. i would use 100% real soap from plants but that is too costly for me right now. i also have a gilette venus shaver cheap lil thing well it wasnt cheap to buy i think poorly made. boy, do i need to stop buying gillette venus. i dont want to shave the bikini area i want to shave the entire vagina not a small section. i used a clio electric shaver i wasted 10 bucks for it and wished i wouldnt have bought it. any suggestions? |

Hmm. We must not have many folks who shave there! I keep hearing that "no-no" shaver advertised on TV.
I wonder if your doctor (especially a gynecologist) might have an idea...... |

Just wait till you get old. It goes bald, anyway. Then, you don't have to shave!
![]() Be careful, whatever shaver you use. I shaved mine and for a long time, the hair grew back funny right where the mound meets the slit, like I had a fat cowlick. Luckily, after a few more shavings, it went back to normal, more or less.

I use a Gillette mach 3 men's razor. I find the smaller razor head is better with all the (lets call them) curves. I do not use that on my underarms though, because it shaves too close. I use a Venus razor on my underarms. I also use shaving cream or gel, and generally whatever is in the shower -- right now, it's my husband's "beard buster"

First I clean my underarms with witch hazel to remove the deodorant.
Then for all my shaving needs, I use the Venus shaver and lavender soap. I rinse really good. Then apply Hydrocortizon with aloe; it keeps my skin from rashing. I shave down there all the time including my bum. I come from a very hairy family. I love the clean feeling.

I use a ver basic bic rasor on my underarms, first i wet them, then rub bubblebath into a lather on them then shave it off, it is the only way i have found so as not to get ingrown hairs when they regrow and is the only way i found to shave them without cutting myself. my downbelows are kept neat by using a mans electric razor only i don't use the razor bit i use the flip up trimmer bit, ok it is not as close a shave but again stops the hairs growing inwards causing big itchy puss filled spots. i use the razor bit on my legs because it is easier for me to shave them on the floor where i can only topple over not fall from a height or drown myself in the bath!

I use a pink Daisy double blade razor. I soak in a hot bath for a bit then I use conditioner as a shaving cream. It gets a close shave anywhere on your body. But dont use too much cause if you do, the shave wont be as close. As soon as I get out of my bath, I put alcohol on a dry wash cloth and pat around on my underarms & pubic area (not inside there! I can imgine that to be painful). But the alcohol pretty much takes care of the ingrown hair problem & the itchies before they even start. Then I apply a good aloe vera/vitamin E lotion. It works good for me

I get those Venus ones that come three or four in a pack. They are like neon colored and have three blades with a moisturizing strip. I don't like to take it all off because it feels and looks weird to me. I like it to be neat though.
I use a lot of bath and body works shower gels when I take a bath or a shower, but sometimes I will get an ingrown hair, more often on my legs, though. But not too long ago, I somehow managed to take a little strip of skin off when I was "vag-scaping", down low. Holy cow, did it hurt! Just the water in the tub burned, and I had to be careful when I went to pee because if I peed on it, it burned like fire. It took several days to heal, and I told my husband to steer clear! I confessed it to one of my friends and she was having a party where they sell all that sexy type stuff, passion parties, anyhow I got some shave cream that is just for that....the name of it is (don't laugh) "coochy". It is really good stuff, but pricey. I got "pink cupcake" scent I think it is lol. |

I suggest you shave the mons and labia majora, not the vagina. The latter is likely to result in bleeding and infection.

Well one trick is to do it very regularly, and not let it grow back..just get it at the stubble stage. I just use body soap, a natural kind with no extra perfume but for me the real trick is hot shower to soften the hair then a puffy shower scrub..if you do this it also helps soften the hair and exfoilates the skin as well and itchy feeling and ingrown hairs become a thing of the past. I just be careful about where exactly I am getting the soap and have never had a problem so far. I also use a mens fusion, I've tried many razors and so far it seems to give the closest shave without irritation for me.

What I want is like a razor at the hair salon that only shaves a certain length, and I shave my whole area as well.
I am prone to ingrown hair and nicks, especially on the bikini line where it's hard to get. Ideas? |

I can hardly believe it but this thread has more than caught up with the thread about the age of menarche, in views.

I like using electric shaver, no fuss at all. Been using it for many years. Works great!

Cleancut personal shaver. It's battery operated and has a round head. Apparently porn stars use it (those that don't wax)
I figured they would have the most experience with landscaping the ladybits. Anyway, I highly recommend it. |
