I should know I'm a woman!
We as women are NEVER treated equally.
I know that I haven't.
I was never considered good enough, why?
Because I'm female.
Overlooked in school
treated like MEAT
which is to say sexually objectified
from the age of 10-20's no one really
has taken me seriously.
Called Stupid, *****, ***** and the names
goes on & on.
I'm just tired of it.
I really didn't have any good role models either.
If you've read my other threads I just had NO ONE.
Tonight its Friday.
It's cold, rainy, just plain GROSS OUTSIDE.
Welcome to Seattle
So my hope is at an all time low.
I just don't have any strong women in my
family to look up to.
I have endured sexual harassment plenty of it!
I need support.
Oh just forget it.
I'm wasting my time.
Good night!

It sounds like you've endured a lot of abuse and you're really sick of it. I hope you can break free from it.

I've felt like you too. I learned at least for me that I had to become my own role-model.

I don't know about you but for me reading about other women that have overcome being objectified helped. I read a lot and then I met this one woman who was sicker than any man I've known. That changed my mind about how men are the enemy. I also dated a guy that was objectified by women.

But you're right I was objectified until my mid thirties. Was never taken seriously. Then I educated myself and haven't looked back.

Btw, it's rainy where I'm at too.

You say you are in seattle. That is not middle of nowhere. There should be professional and peer support available for you to overcome the legacy of your experience.

We are objectified when we want to for whatever reasons... it could be feeling acceptable, trying to get affection or just to overcome loneliness... but look inside you will find that you allowed all those men...
Love yourself and be yourself and no one will take u as a meat
