When my cravings are satisfied I feel an immense amount of "Why did I eat THAT much?" But that's said about when I have cravings in general too. It feels good while I'm doing it, but then I regret it after usually. I wish I could be able to enjoy a craving and know when to stop. Meh. :|

Or at least have some good alternatives that I can enjoy.

I just go with it, as cravings are not daily. If I eat too much one day, I'm sure to not repeat that overeating the next day. I don't beat myself up over it.

Its like I cannot stop, I just keep eatting whatever salty, sugary, sweet items I can find. Usually if I get chocolate it will all be gone.

Somethings I can find lower calorie versions that satisfy the cravings other times only the real deal will do, and then just go with the flow. Exercise, as mentioned above, does help with PMS symptoms and to keep cravings at bay, or at least to burn off some of the calories. No matter, no guilt, just enjoy.

Chocolate has no chance around me. I've tried going without it and I am much more grumpy haha. I do get on the exercise bike when I have a craving and it postpones it, but never takes it away.

"The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it. [...] I can resist anything except temptation." - Oscar Wilde

And if I can't resist temptation, I eliminate it. Don't keep the foods that you usually crave during that time in the house. I'd say the only thing that I permit myself to snarf is chocolate, since it ups my mood too.

Geek moment - whenever I think of eating chocolate, especially in times of self-medication, I can't help thinking of Harry Potter and Lupin. "Eat this - it helps. It really helps."

I'm a chocolate fiend on my period. I can ignore a tray of vanilla cupcakes, but chocolate? Those are my victims. Chocolate + something salty like kettle chips are like my top things I want. If chocolate isn't available, then coffee it is.
