Have any of you tried the Tria home laser?

I am using it, but you don't see results immediately. I would like to know if anyone has had good results. My biggest concern is the hair on my face.

I have the no no, and it only works well on arm and leg hair, that is if you don't mind your house smelling like electrified, charred hairs. ick. has been sitting in my closet

So the no no doesn't work well on the face? I was going to get the no no but my husband said the reviews weren't very good.

I'm so hoping this Tria thing will fix the facial hair. The hair on my legs I can deal with, but facial hair is so embarrassing and a constant hassle.

No No was crap - did nothing to remove facial hair. I saw a dermatologist who said that if there is any red pigment in your hair at all, treatments won't work. Sometimes even the professional lasers won't get rid of facial hair. Back to shaving and plucking for me - daily routine.

Shoot. I had red tints to my hair as a kid, and maybe I still do. This thing has a 90 day guarantee. If it doesn't work on my face I won't keep it.

The no no is lousy on any curves on your face. It only works well on peach fuzz, not the nasty weird hairs that need plucking. Pluck, bleach, removal cream, repeat!!
Haven't gone as far as electrolosys--heard you have to keep going back a lot. Nothing that tweezers can't handle!!

I am sorry I cannot help with your question but I can also say the no-no was terrible for the face. The Tria was next to try and will be curious as to what you think of it, if you don't mind posting how it goes. Best wishes, I hope it works well.

I'll let you know how it goes. My one concern is that I have to shave my face for this thing to work. I could also use Nair, but it doesn't really work for me. Plucking and waxing take the hair out of the follicle, and it needs to be in there to work.

I just hope my problem doesn't end up being worse from the shaving. (I'm actually using hubby's beard trimmer)

Well, I gave up and sent the Tria back. Guess I'll be plucking and waxing the rest of my life...ugh!

Someone said that lasers don't work on red hair and I think that was the issue on my chin hair. The hair on my lip saw a very small improvement, but oddly, only on one side.

Wow, thanks to ALL OF YOU for this feedback on facial hair removal and the various ways to do it that are commercialized. At age 73, I am growing a beard and whiskers and I usually just trim with tiny scissors, also tweeze. Born as a blonde, I used to be a natural light brunette, now am pure white (actually it is pretty). But my facial hairs are: white, blonde, brown and THICK, CURLY BLACK! That must be the 1/4 Armenian in me. LOL It all sucks.

I have had enough experience to say, laser doesn't work. The term "permanent" is used for something that will last up to 6 months or longer, not forever. I tried expensive laser treatments on my face, ended up crying and forking over $200 a session! Not worth it. No No reviews are awful, my friend works at a place that sells them and he said every single one that is purchased gets returned. Don't bother with it. I don't have any experience with the Tria laser, but I did see commercials and look up reviews, didn't seem as bad as the No No, but still wasn't great.
Removing the hair from the root is what you want to do, tweezing and waxing are best at-home ways. I have been doing Electrolysis for 2 1/2 years on my face, it takes longer the more hair you have and I could have joined the circus... Anywho, the hair is NOT growing back and I shouldn't have to go back after completing the treatments. It does take a loooong time for electrolysis, but the results should last forever.
Here in Canada a new product came out called "Inhibitif" it's supposed to reduce the growth of the hair so you won't have to remove it as often. Not sure where else it is available, you can try looking on their site to see if you can order it.

I used the Tria till I had to send it back. I went back to waxing my facial hair and I've noticed that it seems that the hair is not coming back as profusely as before. Now I'm reading what you wrote about it not being permanent. Maybe I should have kept the stupid thing.

I had thought about buying the "No No" but chose not to due to a lot of bad reviews. The "Tria" was another one of my interests after hearing rave reviews from some celebrity women and TV talks shows like the RACHAEL RAY SHOW who said it works great.

I have purchased an Epilator by Braun called "Silk-Epil 7". I like it. If you don't mind tweezing you will probably like this better.

You have to though... loofah a lot, use body lotion to keep skin moisturized, drink good amounts of water to keep hydration up and some other things to help prevent ingrown hairs.

I've noticed the amount of ingrowns I'm getting because I wasn't doing the above list. Now I am and I've bought a solution as well that helps with and prevent ingrowns.


In the past, I had waxing done professionally but got tired of paying the price. Tried it at home and hated the mess and it was very time consuming doing it. So then I went back to cream hair removers and shaving.


I do like the Epilator better and it looks cleaner. There are good reviews on using this Epilator.
