Has anyone taken Evening Primrose tablets in conjunction with SSRI's? The week before my period is becoming absolutely horrendous.. it's like PMT takes my depression/anxiety issues and magnifies them 100%. Was wondering if taking a homeopathic thing like Evening Primrose might help... any thoughts?

I have always taken Eve Primrose no matter what SSRI or other anti-depressant I have been on with no effect to the medication but has helped with PMS bloating and cramps. I know some have to increase their SSRI's during their periods to combat the increase in symptoms of depression and anxiety. I have had to do this as well; I start to slightly increase it 4-5 days before my period and taper it back down, 2-3 days afterward. Talk to your doctor about this and let them know what is going on; they can help.

There are other things that are contraindicated with evening primrose and here is some other information about it:

Wishing you well meanwhile. I hope you find answers and some help soon.
