I officially give up on dating for good so I don't have any need for my IUD anymore. How do I take it out myself?

Step 1: Don't.

You can cause serious damage to yourself if you attempt to take it out without the help of a trained doctor.

There are many benefits of keeping the IUD. I wasn't sexually active when I got the IUD inserted, and I remained sexually inactive for two years while I was on it. I've had no bleeding while on the IUD and it stopped excruciatingly painful cramps.
Thanks for this!

Meh...feeling anything, let alone pain, is something I need right now.

Go to a planned Parenthood and get it removed. It's gotta be a doctor, it's not like taking off a bandaid yourself, more like doing blindfolded surgery on yourself with no anesthetic.
Thanks for this!

Ripping out and scrambling your female anatomy is not a very optimistic response to your current state of mind

And none of any of the consequences to your actions are in any way unrealistic.

I agree with the other responses on this. I don't support this idea one bit.

Pregnancy would be unlikely I would think, due to cervix trauma, and infection would be scary. Just don't muck with it, I reckon. Choosing to date or not is no reason to muck with your girlie cycle stuffs........ I reckon it would just cause cycle disruption and dramas, home surgery aside. :S

For the very fact of hating having my period, I wouldn't screw with any contraception/girlie regulating things just to avoid screwing with my cycle. :O

I hope this story has a happy ending. I don't know you, but if you want to hurt yourself, just to feel, then choose another method that won't cause such drama.

Hope you're ok x
