I just wanted to ask the women about sex and love.

I am so in love with my bf after just a short time, and he's in love with me. We've just started having sex (we're being safe don't worry )

It is....in a word.....amazing. I've never really enjoyed sex, never thought about having it, except for to please the guy. But I LOVE having sex with my bf!!! Is it because we're in love? Its like he was made for me....hits all the right spots. Knows how to get me going....even when he's not with me. I've never been in love before. I used to think I was, but now I KNOW I am, and I can't believe how much its improved sex for me.

So what are you stories with this?

I've only had sex without love once, and it didn't come close to the sex I had with men I was in love with. I know some people really enjoy casual sex, but it's not for me. I need my sex with a side order of love.

different people are compatible in different ways. sounds like your current lover is more sensitive to your likes and needs than your other lovers have been.

love might facilitate that... but i don't believe it is essential.

though depends on what you mean by 'love' i guess.

Well, to boil it down to pure psychology, the fact that you truly love and want this man probably has a good deal to do with the fact that sex with him is better than what you've experienced previously--because your emotions for him are stronger, your physical responses will be stronger and more positive towards him as well.

Either that, or he's just really really good. Either way, I am SOOO happy for you, and enjoy yourself! It's wonderful that you've found somebody this good for you.

Love doesn't always result in great sex, and certainly, otherwise very happy couples have problems with sex sometimes. And sex without love can be extremely wonderful with the right partner. It's a matter of your lover knowing the right ways to touch you and appeal to you. Love certainly helps, in that the whole brain chemistry and bonding things are working with the touching and everything else. However, I've known people who said they can't have good sex with someone they loved, and that it had to be with someone they didn't have those feelings for. Some people say the best sex they've had is with people they weren't in love with. I think it varies and depends on the person.

However, like I said, I think your situation is also that you've found someone who's sexual skills match your sexual desires. Some people who don't have great sex at first, can have great sex if they're both willing to learn to do what pleases the other sexually.

Hmmm, very interesting insights. I have had good sex in the past with people I was not in love with. I think its just different now because, as was said, we love each other so maybe he's more "in tune" with me....he cares about so much that its not all about him when it comes to sex. He's in to pleasing me and not just himself. We also tend romantic and raunchy texts all day....so by the time the evenings hit, we've expressed our love for each other throughout the day, as well as our desire for each other. So when we're together, its like all bets are off lol!

He gave me a card last night for my 2 year sobriety anniversary. On the front is a red heart with the word "Now" in it, next to a white heart that says "forever". Inside it says, "I never wanted anyone forever till you." Wow.....*swoon*!!!!!
