I can understand how frustrating that is. I know many people in your situation. what helps them to feel better is knowing sometimes this cant be helped. sometimes its just how that persons body works based on their own life, stress and health issues, even some medications can make a person have incontanence (wetting) problems. one plus in that area is that there are some really great products that can help. there's surgery which you have already tried (sorry that didnt work for you) theres medications and there are sanitary products. just like there are pads and tampons for a woman theres things like atends, tens, and other brands of underclothing that is is specially made for this kind of thing. they come in a variety of styles /thicknesses (panty liners, full pull up made to look and feel like normal bikini and briefs panties and diaper styles) based on individual needs.
another option those I know are using is a catheter system where a tube and bag collects their bathroom needs and just throw it away when needed because their problem is too much for surgery and other options.
now days there are some very discrete and portable options in all of the above so that a person's life and activities dont need to be limited and no one needs to know. I have a friend who was like this and I never knew for 10 years that she was battling this problem. that says a lot considering we were/are together 8-12 hours a day on the job and many hours socializing. I found out accidentally one day when she and her husband were over and she had run out of her undergarments that she kept in her car for emergencies. she came to me and asked if I had any womens products she could use. at the time I was pregnant so i didnt even have a sanitary napkin/panty liners on the house for that time of the month. so I asked her what style she needed and size and she and I took a walk to the grocery store and we picked up what she needed while on the way she explained to me she was a bed wetter all her life, the muscles and nerves in her bladder never developed correctly, a birth defect from her mother smoking and drinking while pregnant. she tried all avenues. she turned a negative into a positive by saying thank the lucky stars she was a woman. she can go into a store and buy what she needs and no one thinks it odd because women naturally have to go in to by things like panty liners, under garments, tampons, sanitary napkins for that time of the month depending what style they need anyway. she even found a store that makes undergarments in many different colors and themes so if she wants wonder woman, camo or just plain pink, purple gray, white or black she can. that day she was a wonder woman.
my point is all is not lost and you are not alone. my suggestion go to your local grocery store and canvas that ladies supply isle and pick what you feel will make you feel better about yourself and is your style and necessity level. nothing can take away that this is happening to you and that you and your treatment providers may not have found that key to turn off the water when not in use but there are things you can do about this that is very discrete so no one else needs to know and can help.
