Basin has yummy bath goodies too. I'm not sure about their shipping -- their Mall of America store is an hour and a half from me and I take myself there as needed. <g>
But I'm still a good old Bath and Body Works fan, for the most part. I love the mango mandarin and black raspberry vanilla flavors best, but it's hard to find a bad one. Believe it or not, B&BW's shampoo is actually very good. My hair is really oily and it cleans it without stripping it completely or making it even greasier. |

I love these products. I especially like the pomegranite shea lotion.
Thier customer service sucks, but I still order. I really love the products. http://store.africansheabuttercompan...shebutpro.html __________________ |

I am a fan of a couple of local products (most likely not known by most of you). Actually, here's an international - Clinique - I love them but mostly out of my meagre pocket!
I am a sucker for cleaning products though - I never buy the cheapest, relying on trusted brands! __________________ Crying isn't a sign of weakness. It's a sign of having tried too hard to be strong for too long. |

I use Mary Kay cosmetics. I've tried lots of others, including some of the more expensive brands in dept. stores, but none compare to MK.
As for bath and spa products....sadly, I have NO sense of smell and never have, and can't appreciate these products as a result! (I know...I'm missing a lot!) Patty |

I have a terrible sense of smell too, but there are things out there that are so highly fragranced I can actually smell them :-). Bath and Body Works products and Yankee Candles are two of them.
A lot of times I buy bath stuff for what's in it -- moisturizers in bath bombs, etc. At least I can enjoy my skin being soft for awhile! |

Candy...I do use moisturizers and such, but I have NO sense of smell...couldn't smell a skunk if hit in the head with it! Coudl go into a bath shop and smell nothing.
I rarely or never use scented products as I don't know how it reacts with me chemically, and also don't know if I'm using too much, etc. Even deoderants are a challenge. I try to stay with unscented, since from youth my mother related how some of these products didn't work for me and I was unaware! It's a challenge and a handicap! Patty |

My most recent favs:
1) KP Duty Body Scrub - it's expensive, but worth it since it's goes a long way...step away from the shower stream when using so it doesn't just wash away. 2 and 3) Bliss Glamour Glove Gel and Softening Sock Salve - seriously...I've used a lot of skin care products and these two are amazing. You REALLY will notice a difference in your skin in 1 day. 4) Neutrogena lip balm....keeps them soft - cheaply. Campy |

My mom used to sell AVON. A lot of their products are awesome and very affordable!!! Their honey vitamin E bubble bath is SO GOOD!!! Even though she doesn't sell anymore, I still purchase AVON stuff. Unfortunately my FAV body spray was discontinued a few years back

If so, see if you can get your doc to prescribe a trial of Buspar. It's a relatively benign anti-anxiety med that is not sedating (like the benzos) and for some people, it enhances their sense of smell! Also, taste. It might be fun to try for a month or so--you might get a real charge out of it if it enhances your sense of smell. It had that effect for me, and I loved it! I have regular sensitivity to smells and tastes, but with Buspar, I felt like I had the sense of smell of a dog! I could detect 20 different or more scents at a time. Walking through a field or garden was incredible. To a lesser extent, my sense of taste was also enhanced. I tasted things I'd never tasted before. For example, I could taste the difference between the little seeds in a strawberry and the pulp--two very distinct tastes. OK, sorry for the interruption in the favorite products discussion. I like Clinique products! __________________ "Therapists are experts at developing therapeutic relationships." |

And, Diamancel manicure/pedicure files! They are expensive for sure...but you will never buy another nail file or callus "grater" ever! I use #20 on my feets and they are smooth as can be.
And Benefit Lemon Aid - it is used sorta like an eye shadow, but the color is pale yellow. Blend it in and it makes you look younger and more awake than you really are! Campy |
