I very rarely shave unless there are guys involved.

I don't know how often to shave...to me its a waste of time.

I was thinking of shaving today because my armpits are icky, and my legs are okay but need it, and I'm not sure what to do with my lady parts, but this guy I like is coming over on Monday and I think if I shave now I might have to shave again on Sunday, but I just feel gross right now.

What should I do?

Shave when you feel like it. Axillary hair is making a welcome comeback.

The choice is yours! Body hair is "in" right now, and if it empowers you, then do it!

I will tell you, as someone who is a fan of hair-free, that I CAN'T not shave. The prickly feeling just gives me the heebie-jeebies. Shaving is a pain though, so I will tell you your options:

Lasering: This does not work on everyone (I found out the hard way). Lasering is very affordable these days, so if your skin type allows, I would look into it. The pain is minimal.

Sugaring: This is what I use. Sugaring is much, much better for your skin than waxing, AND it dissolves the hair follicle so the hair becomes thinner and sparser and until- nothing!

I'm not shaving now as I am single. But I have been told I might smell if my arm pit hair gets too long so if anything it will be that that goes. Not right now though, it's still quite short. As for my legs and private area the hair is staying. I might shave my legs if we get to next summer.

Really to be honest the choice is yours when to shave. I know that arm pits can smell if they are hairy, that is all.

I am so going to start sugaring!

And timing of this info is perfect because I was wondering which method to introduce my daughter to...

She's getting to "that" age and stage...

Thanks so much for the info.

LL, the real answer is "whenever you want to".... But I know what you mean... If your hair grows back super fast, then shave same day or the night before....

I only ever feel the need to shave my armpits, everything else can stay as long as I want it to! Sometimes I miss the smooth leg feeling, and that's when I decide to shave.

I used to shave very regularly. Then in the last year or so, I stopped. Now I only do it if I feel like it.

During the warmer months I shave my legs twice a month but during the winter I take a shaving break. My armpits however get shaved once a week.

In the summer I shave in 3-4 days. In winter that goes up to 7-8 days. I guess I shave more than most but I have thick, dark hair.

My bf is working abroad, so I share the same sentiment until he comes home. Haha.

Not that he minds at all though, I'm the one that has issues with needing to be hairless around him.

Hmmm, quite strange now that I actually think about it.

I wonder how common this is.
