I'm pretty sure I have a UTI. Are there any home remedies or do I just need to get to a walk in clinic and get antibiotics?

I have had symptoms for a couple of days. Pain/burning during urination and for a bit after. That's pretty much it as far as symptoms go.

I've thought about getting 100% Cranberry juice and drinking that and water for a few days. And getting AZO standard to relieve symptoms. I've had UTI's before but it's been a long time. One time I let it go too long before getting to the doctor and wound up in the hospital with a kidney infection.

I get so annoyed when I am physically sick. I feel like I have so much on my plate dealing with MI and chronic pain...I get resentful when I am physically sick.

I just got over a UTI. Personally I'd get some antibiotics.

Thanks. I did go into a walk-in clinic and they confirmed I had a UTI. I'm on the mend with antibiotics. I am glad you are feeling better.
Thanks for this!

If you have UTI's more often, you shouldn't always rely on antibiotics. The bacteria will build up a resistance and the illness be difficult to treat if you get it again
That's why, before treating it with antibiotics, I suggest you simply drink loads of water and cranberry juice. You could also take cranberry pills, which are more concentrated but the most important thing is to drink a lot and don't hold back when you have to pee.
You should lessen pain by applying warmth to your lower abdomen.

UTIs are awful. I used to get them all the time. You may know these things, but in case you don't, what helps me avoid them is: always fully emptying my bladder when I pee, even if I have to sit there for an extra minute. Always pee straight after sex or any "play". Drink cranberry daily. Of course basic hygiene when wiping yourself, I'm sure you are aware of that, but I had a girlfriend in her 20s who wasn't, so thought I'd mention it. She wiped back to front not front to back and this was causing UTIs for her. Sorry for the bluntness. I hope this isn't offensive. Glad you're on the mend. Hugs
