but I figured that no matter what happens, here is the place I'd come to for support.
So... here's my news... I'm 4 weeks pregnant! I'm really kind of shocked - I was absolutely sure that I was getting my period. I never get PMS moodiness, but I do start cramping a week or so before my period arrives. Last month was no exception. In fact, I was really tempted to cancel my Dr's appointment for the blood test because I figured it would be a waste of time and money. Wrong I was! Not only that, but my hormone levels during both blood tests were sky-high. There might be more than one - I had an ultrasound a few days before my ovulation date, and there were between 3-5 follicles ready to drop an egg. So that might be a weird situation. I'm not really thinking about that just yet, although I keep finding myself mentally referring to my "babies" in the plural, so I don't know what that means. I have my first prenatal ultrasound in two weeks. We might even be able to hear a heartbeat then. In the meantime, I'm fluctuating between bliss vs obsession about reading everything there is to know about pregnancy. Anyway, just wanted to share my news with my friends here!

Congratulations! I am ten weeks in myself, so we are pretty close as far as experiences during this time goes.
I too am excited, nervous, scared, overjoyed, questioning, worrying, and just about everything else you can think of all at once. |
