Hello,
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this. I started lamictal about 5 weeks ago and am experiencing cramps that are like contractions (haven't had kids but this must be what it is like) a delayed and heavier period. It could be my age but the timing seems too coincidental (and I've never had these symptoms before). Thanks!

Hmm, I haven't. You might try asking in Drug Questions too, even though its kind of a personal topic that you might find more comfortable with women haha. Maybe you could post in Drug Questions and ask the women to check out this thread if they're taking lamictal.

Hey Rainy... I'm on Lamictal and I used to have horrendous cramps from my period (I would miss 2 days of school/work a month because of them). About 4 years ago I went on the pill, it took me about 3 different brands to find one that helped, but it took them away almost completely. I have noticed that since I started to take lamictal a few months ago that my cramps have returned... not as bad as normal, but they're there. I would suggest trying birth control if you're not already on it, it may help...

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with this problem!

Been on Lamictal for a few years, and I haven't noticed it making any changes with my period, I do know with age, periods can change, I noticed that over the years way before I ever was on any meds.
