I wasn't jealous.
I was just tired Of hearing her Saying that she Had life all sorted. And that I should Take a leaf out of her book. She doesn't bother With boys at university. She literally said that I should be more Like her friends daughter. She had a boyfriend!! And social media Is smoke and mirrors In many instances. They didn't know I had been in rehab. Student life is renowned For drinking and wild parties. It didn't interest me anymore. They spoke about freshers Week and how she Was shaking all over As they had drunk continuously I didn't find it awe inspiring. Her mum showed Me pictures of Clubs with bouncy castles. Are you sure you Are not Not missing anything? And when she told The story of leaving A friend who Was nearly comatosed In a student digs Of someone they barely knew I said that just because The boys went to university They still could have Taken advantage of her. And everybody just Stayed silent like I was a stick in the mud. And my boss and the Woman I worked next to Both said that they Wished they had lived Their lives before Settling down with their men. And couldn't understand Why someone would Not go to university If the chance was there. Then out of the blue The bosses friend Said that: you do get money you know. And I found out That one of Fred's sisters Friends was going to Do nursing at University. And why on earth Did I not know that Tuition fees for Nursing in Scotland Is a mystery. But since the bi-polar Was inevitable It does matter. But thanks for The words of encouragement. And don't sweat The remark about My relationship with Fred. I missed a line after nursing in Scottish universities: If you study Nursing as your first degree in Scotland, you do not pay tuition fees. Therefore it attracts people from all walks of life into the health care sector. |
