I heard somewhere that drinking raspberry tea helps calm menstrual cramps. For me this is true but it depends on the timing that I drink it. I haven't tried this "remedy" in a while, and usually just take 2 ibuprofin pills when I get cramps. And some people get them so bad that they have to take bc pills and ibuprofin doesn't work.. So I have no idea if it'd work for them. that's not me.
Yesterday I drank a huge mug of red raspberry tea and this morning I got my period and the cramps were so mild I didn't have to take any other kind of pain killer. It was pretty cool. |

You mentioned timing... what is the optimal time for the tea?
I have really awful cramps. On my worst day, I take 4 ibuprofen, morning, afternoon, and night (I would take more, but my doctor told me no more than that!) and extra strength Tylenol in-between those, and still have pain. It sucks! And, I have to be careful timing the ibuprofen... like I need to make sure to take it as close to bed as possible in the evening, because it wears out in the middle of the night, and I wake up in pain! Thanks! |

Thanks WovenGalaxy... Thanks, that makes sense (but yeah, it can be hard to predict the correct day!)
I'm going to see if I can pick up some raspberry tea when I'm at the grocery store later tonight or tomorrow. Thank you! |
