I am wondering how to stop heavy bleeding for days fast??? I do take tranexmic acid but you are only allowed to take it five days a month during period. I already took it less than three weeks ago. i am passing clots daily and this is going on a month. I am scheduled for an ultrasound (who knows whats wrong???).
I am going crazy thinking I have cancer. I am 50 now. help

Have you had your ultrasound yet? The results will give you and your doctor a way to go forward. There a a few things that could be causing this but you wont know for sure until the ultrasound is done. Have you thought about perimenopause? Best check in with your gynae. Also with the heavy bleeding you may want to get your blood tested for anemia. Not forgetting your estrogen and progesterone levels.
I was taking transemic acid for a time. I had a ultrasound and then a DNC over a year ago to check out my uterus. It was all clear. I am now 58 I am taking primolut which is a progestin. I am waiting to actually hit menopause but my hormone levels are not quite there yet. So in the meantime to stop the annoying break through bleeding the progestin is keeping things in check.
I hope you are taking care of yourself.

Ultrasound will tell your doctor what’s wrong so they’ll know how to proceed. You might need DNC as well.
