So I'm 55 years old.
In 2022, I had been on effexor for 7 years and began dripping sweat and racing heart. Insomnia was the worst. My blood pressure was very high, and a cardiologist gave me a beta blocker, which made me suicidal.
I also stopped effexor and had some major mental health problems. Should have gone inpatient.

I had an endometrial ablation in 2017 but have recently (Dec 2023) been treated with HRT.(estradiol. 035mg)The progesterone (100mg) made me suicidal. I stopped taking it, and that night, my racing heart and sweating kept me awake. Tried the patch again, but it didn't help.
I also have inappropriate sinus tachycardia, which I had 2 sinus node ablation for.

I have a fibromyalgia diagnosis and anti thyroid antibodies.

I have strange reactions to medications and can't do steroids.

My most problematic issue is insomnia, which I take .05 clonazepam, magnesium, and GABA otc for.

I don't know what to do? I wish a physician could help me with these collective issues.

I would consult with your doctor and pharmacist about the otc products you're taking.

You may also want to ask about 10mg time-released melantonin.

One of the anti-depressants I take is called Remeron/mirtazepine, I find it really helps with sleep and anxiety. You might want to ask about that, too.

Sending you good vibes for healing...
Thanks for this!

Oh what a terrible constellation of diagnoses and symptoms... so tough.

Why are you taking GABA otc and not prescription Gabapentin? Gabapentin has been shown to improve sleep architecture. Plus, Gabapentin is used in fibromyalgia treatment.

What form of magnesium are you taking? I believe there is only one form shown to help, look up what Matt Walker says about that. There are many forms and one beats the rest. I do not remember which one.

Agree that Remeron might help and is worth trying.

Who is your primary care provider? Who manages and coordinates your care?

I'm so grateful for the kindness that is shown here. 🩷

If you mention a drug/supplements I most likely have tried it. Melatonin, gabapentin and remeron(sp) all gave me adverse side effects. My body reacts differently to most medications.

I'm going to ask the Dr about ketamine therapy. I heard mostly good things.

I should make an appointment for my GP. This has been a long term problem for me.

This is so very helpful to me. I really think the progesterone I was taking made me exceptionally depressed and my view of things was skewed.

I can look into those books for sure 🩵
