Well I am having tightenings and pains in my upper-to-mid stomach... but there is no pattern to them and i am pretty sure they are false as they are staying the same strength pretty much all day.

that reminded me of when I was expecting #3. I was already admitted coz of prem labour, and being monitored 2x daily. One ward round the ob took a look at the readings and said that I was in labour. I argued myself blue that I wasn't- sure the contractions were off the chart but they had been on and off all week and there was no pain. Turns out I really was in labour lol. Then I delayed my trip in for a caesar til I had had my much anticipated shower that had been put off for so long thanks to queues then ward rounds!!!!!!

Best of luck rain, when it starts there is NO turning back lol.

According to my Hypnobirthing book, they aren't "false" labor pains, they are "practice" labor pains! ;-p

LOL yeah i guess i shouldn't take this stuff for granted and enjoy my time of "practise"

It just gets annoying to have to go through pains, and then not get anywheres with it.

Rainbowzz, when I got the "real" labor pains, they seemed stronger and somehow more insistent. The other sign I had with both labors was the appearance of the bloody show before the labor contractions began in earnest. Thanks for keeping us so updated!

sooooooooooo

A sign! A sign! of being close to labour....

I went to the obstetrician today.

And....

A sign! A sign! of being close to labour....

As I was getting her a urine sample, I lost my mucous plug!!! And, according to the monitor I am having contractions, though I can't feel them yet. So she said she THINKS it could be within the next couple of days. But, it COULD be as much as up until march 3rd.

But, according to the size of my belly and everything, things are looking like its happening!!

Just waiting for things to ramp up now.

so far nothing major is happening.

Things do feel a bit tight down there, but I am not having pain or anything yet and my water hasn't broken.

Another good excuse to waste time on PC.

I was two weeks over due, but the last week of over dueness I slept real good...toooooo good, my doc said it was the calm before the birth basically. My body was preparing for some hard work.

Hopefully you can get this baby out soon, everything is well, and labor is a beautiful experience....don't be nervous it's an great thing to accomplish: giving life.

well he wasnt kicking much since yesterday and I got concerned..

So I went to the local hospital and had them check his heart rate with the fetal doppler (hand held monitor) - turns out hes fine. Hes definetly in the right position, and the nurse said usually they slow down right before birth so maybe this weekend hopefully!

Zorah you can most certainly be his online grandma. And now that I think about it, that makes sense about the cats, thinking back when my cat last had kittens i noticed something oooey gooey on her butt right before.. that had to be it.

Now that I have grossed everyone out I am going back to being lazy A sign! A sign! of being close to labour....
